Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find a selection of the most frequently asked questions that our clients ask us and the answers to those questions. If you have any questions and you do not find the answer here, please contact us.

Product

Are BrickBox units made in other colours apart from white?
Yes, as well as white, we make BrickBox units in Oak finish.

Can BrickBox units be ordered in special sizes?
Yes, from 30 units. Send us a mail to info@brickbox.es with the details and we will give you an estimate. Bear in mind that these will be 25% more expensive than the standard sizes plus the difference in price for the board required.

Can doors be fitted on all BrickBox units?
Only on BrickBox units sold from 10 February 2014. Sorry about that!

Are BrickBox Modules and all their accessories supplied with the screws needed for assembly?
Yes. Ready to set up.

How are the shelves secured to BrickBox Modules?
The shelves are supplied with four metal shelf supports which are inserted in the holes in the sides of the module.

Do BrickBox Modules stand up to water?
BrickBox products are made for indoor use and are not designed to withstand rain, although they can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

How should BrickBox Modules be cleaned?
With a cloth dampened in water or cleaning products for wood. We do not recommend using solvents.

Do the edges of BrickBox units have any treatment, varnish or paint?
No, the edges of BrickBox units are planed natural wood. This idea came from one of our customers!: if you want to highlight the colour of the plywood and protect it from dirt you can impregnate it with olive oil.

Can the BrickBox be installed on very uneven floors?
We do not recommend installing BrickBox Modules on floors with a slope of over 1% (0.54 cm for each large module (54 cm)).

Is the table seen in the video for sale?
No, we have decided not to produce this for the time being.

Assembly

How are the BrickBox Modules assembled?
Each module has a sheet of assembly instructions. It’s very simple, you only need a screwdriver, and if you have an electric one, even better.

How long will I take to set up each BrickBox Module?
2-3 minutes per module if you use an electric screwdriver. 5-6 minutes if this is manual.

Can doors be fitted on all the BrickBox Modules?
Only on BrickBox Modules sold from 10 February 2014. Sorry about that!

How are the doors fitted?
It’s very simple, and without any tools either. They come with detailed instructions.

Can they be hung up?
Yes they can! We have designed an “invisible” support, which we sell separately.

Delivery

Is transport included in the price?
Transport is included in the price for orders over 400 € in the following countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Holland. If your order doesn’t reach 400€ the carriage costs 25€. For other countries the transport price will depend on the weight of the order. You will be informed of the itemised transport price when you fill in the shipment details.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Depending on the destination country these are the usual times (working days as from confirmation and payment of the order):
Spain and Portugal: 3 days.
France, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Holland: 5 days.
Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic and Hungary: 7 days.
Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia: 10 days.

Will the forwarder call me to inform me of the delivery?
Yes, if they can’t find you at the delivery address, to arrange a time for the second attempt.

Where will they deliver the BrickBox Modules to me?
The forwarder is under the obligation to deliver the order to the street and number stated. For the time being they will not take it up to a flat.

What happens if I receive my order damaged in transport?
We advise you to check the order when you receive this, and to make a note of any damage on the forwarder’s delivery slip. Send us photos of the damaged units. We will immediately check this and resend the damaged parts, at no expense and as soon as possible.

Can I call to collect my order at your warehouse?
Yes, in the mornings (from 9:00 to 13:30 from Monday to Friday). Write to us to request this and we will give you the details on how to get there. Our warehouse is in the city of Barcelona.

Guarantee and returns

What happens if I receive my order damaged in transport?
We advise you to check the order when you receive this, and to make a note of any damage on the forwarder’s delivery slip. Send us photos of the damaged units. We will immediately check this and resend the damaged parts, at no expense and as soon as possible.

Can I return the order if I don’t like the product?
Of course you can! You can return this with no commitment. The product will have to be unopened and in its original packing. As soon as we receive this at our warehouse we will return the amount of your purchase, deducting the transport cost.

Can I return an order for special sizes?
Sorry, but we cannot accept returns through not being a standard product.

How long after receiving the order can I return this?
You have up to 6 months after reception. But remember that this must always be in its original packaging.

What happens if any of the parts has a manufacturing flaw?
Our modules are subject to strict quality control, but if you receive any faulty part send us photos of the flaw and we will send you the part at no expense and as soon as possible.

Payment

How can I pay for my order?
You can choose from PayPal and credit or debit card. All our payment methods comply with the strictest security and confidentiality standards.

Extra-community countries

What happens if I want to buy BrickBox products from outside Europe, U.S.A. or Canada?
Write to us at info@brickbox.es! We can send you an estimate with the shipping costs to any country in the world. But since direct shipments to countries outside Europe work out to be costly, we have dealers in the U.S.A., Canada, Switzerland and Australia. And we are still looking for commercial partners in Turkey, Israel, Russia, China, Singapore, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and South Africa.

What requisites must I comply with to become a BrickBox dealer?
You must have a company engaged in the furniture or household item trade. If you haven’t got a physical shop you need to vouch for your experience in online sales. You must also have the capacity required to purchase a minimum order of 500 units. Write to us and we will examine your case

o residents in countries outside the European Economic Community have to pay 21% VAT?
No, when you type in the delivery country the system will deduct the VAT (21%). You will have to pay the taxes for your country on delivery of the order.

Why do residents in countries outside the European Economic Community have to pay 50€ as customs expenses?
Because that is the rate due for import and customs processing in those countries.
